Artistic Director
The Tony Award winning Old Globe Theatre is searching for its next Artistic Director. It is the company’s intention to identify the successful candidate no later than the Fall of 2012 with a projected start date for full-time employment to follow as soon as is practical.
The Old Globe is one of America’s largest regional theatres, employing a full-time staff of over 110 while operating on an annual budget in excess of $20 million. The Globe typically produces 14 productions annually at its three theater, state-of-the-art facilities, welcoming renowned artists from around the world to perform on its stages.
The company is focused on identifying an accomplished theatre director/artistic director with national/international credentials and demonstrated sustained success at the highest levels of the profession.

Community Outreach Coordinator
The Old Globe, San Diego’s largest performing arts organization and the sixth largest regional theatre in the country seeks a Community Outreach Coordinator to develop and execute a new audience engagement and education initiative funded by a James Irvine Foundation grant through 2013. This program will engage community members in a collaborative process of creating theatrical work. The Community Outreach Coordinator will build relationships with community groups, organize their participation and manage the overall project. A four-year degree and/or equivalent experience in Theatre arts education or community engagement is required. Multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Strong oral and written communication skills, public speaking, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills, drivers license and access to transportation required as well as an extremely professional and friendly manner. Community Project Teaching Artist
The Old Globe, San Diego’s largest performing arts organization and the sixth largest regional theatre in the country seeks a part-time Community Project Teaching Artist to help develop and execute a new audience engagement and education initiative funded by a James Irvine Foundation grant. This program will engage community members in a collaborative process of creating theatrical work. With this new program, the theater seeks to introduce non-traditional audiences to not only theatergoing, but also to the process of creating their own art. Four to six years experience as a professional theatre artist and/or educator required including experience creating lessons plans and executing a plan of study. A strong background in teaching and arts education for adults is preferred. Practical theatrical experience with an emphasis on playwrighting, directing, and/or dramaturgy also required. Multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Position is part-time, working approximately 25 hours per week during project creation process and approximately hours per week plus class time during workshop phase. Human Resources Manager
The Old Globe is seeking applicants for Human Resources Manager, a temporary position beginning the end of May/early June through November to cover for a planned leave of absence. This position is responsible for the full range of day-to-day activities of The Old Globe's HR department, including recruitment, new hire orientation and exit management, employee benefits, compensation administration, employee relations and training, workers' compensation, leaves of absence, performance management, personnel files and records maintenance, policy and procedure interpretation and execution, and employment law compliance. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree and four or more years of professional HR experience. HR experience at a not-for-profit organization is preferred. Requires excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Subscription Sales Representatives
The Old Globe Theatre is accepting applications from experienced Sales Callers with positive attitudes for future openings for outbound subscription sales calls, though there are currently no openings. Love of the arts a plus. Hourly base plus commission, nightly cash bonuses, and comp tickets. Sunday through Thursday evenings, 5:30pm to 9pm and Saturday mornings, 9:30am to 1:00pm.
